Winter’s Returning Light – A Closing of the Year
December 22nd, 2013
As of today the light of winter is returning to longer days. It is officially winter and a time of celebrating quiet and winter’s light. The soft silence of falling snow is the sound of peace.
This time of quiet reflection is a balance to the busyness of the end of the year and the now gone growing season. I need to find pockets of serenity now. A morning meditation, a quiet time, a walk in the cold save me. And seeing my photos that capture the quiet white let me breath it in.
The quiet of the snow and then often the next day’s reflecting white that fills the house with bright white light and outside a blue sky. These are what my soul longs for.
In these last weeks of the year, may you find peace in these photos. May you hear the sound of softly falling snow.
2014 – Blog Posts
I will return in 2014 with my first blog posts sharing the wonderful mandala creations from the November Mandala Workshop. I was going to share these sooner, but I didn’t want them to get lost in the busyness of this time of year. I can think of no better way to start the new year than sharing these mandalas of the creative people – artists all of them – who attended the workshop.
