Thankful for the Sharing of Creative Souls
November 19th, 2017
A Sacred Circle of Creativity workshop was a three-day journey into the mystery and manifestation of our own creative souls. It took place this last Oct. 12-14.
I am so thankful to the creative beings who joined me on this journey. We found inspiration and connection to mother earth in the nearby acres of Kennedy Woods Savanna held within the 1,300 acres of the urban park, Forest Park, only a couple of miles from my studio.
While in the Savanna, we wrote poems and thoughts to be used in books we later created.
We touched the trees and made rubbings, also used in the books we created.
We explored the depths of creativity with meditations, poems and the marks we made with images and words onto paper surfaces. We created books and boxes, containers for our manifestations that came from that mystery of the creative process. Here are some of these creations. Again I am so thankful the creative souls who shared their hearts and souls during this time.
We created origami books that started with large sheets of heavy art paper. We make marks with watercolor paints, acrylic inks, sumi ink and walnut ink. We folded them to create an eight page book including cover and back.
Gary Schimmelpfennig’s book with added words and papers.
It was folded and torn to create a book.

In this time of Thanksgiving, I am thankful for all the creative souls who have shared so much over the years. I look forward to the manifestation of our creative mysteries as we journey through time.
