100 Days for Mandalas – Freedom
Freedom is a word with many meanings, so many meanings. It has life and death meanings and consequences, and is something all humans strive for and deserve. Each person has their own striving, guided and pushed by that deep soul longing.
Each person’s journey in life is that path toward more freedom and dignity of the human soul.
One of the paths to freedom is the knowing what we are here on earth to be, become and express. Freedom is knowing our true self. Tapping into our creativity through images and words and the form of mandalas can be partners on the journey to freedom.
My own journey to know my true path has been helped by mandalas. The mandalas shared here are some of the very first ones I created in 2006. Mandalas have guided me and helped in self discovery. The very first mandalas are as important to me as the ones I create now. I revisit these and others at times and feel their importance. They are symbols of freedom to me.
As always the colors and shapes share their own meanings and energy.
And a sense of non freedom. Frustration about the boundaries of not enough time to do what I love. When I first created mandalas, I journaled about each one and together both images and words completed my experience.
These days I usually combine mandalas with words on the same page. Either way it is the image and words that have the most power for me.
INSPIRATION FOR FREEDOM. Spend some time asking yourself what freedom means for you. Create a mandala and use words if you like. Freedom is the last inspiration word for this forth session on 100 Days for Mandalas.
LET THIS MEDIATION BE AN INSPIRATION – MANDALA MEDITATION – FREEDOM
MANDALA SHARING – These are two mandalas created by Christine Torlina, inspired by floating.
Here’s what Christine said: “I found a few mushrooms this season and made spore prints by letting the morels dry on dark construction paper. The pale yellow pattern is fascinating and makes me think about all the invisible magic that floats around us unseen. Then there are the magnolia petals that float to the ground every year and decorate my driveway during this special time of year.”
